Auto giant says more than 4,000 vehicles need attention

The recall was issued after a suppler flagged a potential issue with specific lots of parsley that had been used.

Beware, dog owners: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently announced that it expanded a previously announced dog food recall over concerns the products contain a mold byproduct that is potentially above acceptable levels.

Heads up, consumers: A diabetes drug is facing recall because the medication contains excess levels of a cancer-causing agent, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced this week. 

The recall comes just after the company initiated a voluntary recall on Oct. 1 of a limited quantity of watermelon chunks from select stores for the same reason.

Hyundai has reversed itself on a recall to fix a defect that could cause engine fires and is now telling owners of more than 200,000 vehicles to park them outdoors until repairs are made.

Bayer AG has asked California’s Supreme Court to review a decision awarding $20.5 million to a groundskeeper who claimed the company’s Roundup weedkiller caused his cancer, arguing the ruling was at odds with federal law and settled legal principles.

The 2020 Explorer vehicles affected by the recall were built at Chicago assembly plants between Nov. 19, 2019, and June 4, 2020 while 2020 Lincoln Aviator models were built between April 11, 2019, and June 8, 2020. 

All of the affected products were distributed to Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, according to the notice.

Fiat Chrysler is recalling nearly 132,000 vehicles worldwide to fix a problem that could cause some diesel engines to stall.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a small number of bags of Ruffles Original Potato Chips were inadvertently filled with another flavor of potato chips, potentially exposing consumers to undeclared milk.

Fresno, California-based fruit seller Prima Wawona is voluntarily recalling all of its bulk/loose peaches distributed and sold from June 1 through Aug. 3 and bagged Wawona and Wawona Organic peaches distributed and sold from June 1 through Aug. 19.

The company's recall covers less than 3,000 cans of its 14-ounce cans of Progresso Organic Chicken Noodle Soup are said to contain allergens including soy and dairy, which are not labeled on the can.

Kader Exports is recalling certain shrimp products over a potential salmonella contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Ford is recalling more than 558,000 midsize SUVs in North America because the brakes may not work properly.

The recall, issued by Thomson on Aug. 1, includes red, yellow, white and sweet yellow onions which were shipped beginning May 1 in cartons weighing between five and 50 pounds, and mesh sacks between two and 50 pounds.

The FDA is investigating a salmonella-related illness that has infected nearly 400 people in 34 states.
