Phantom Space, a Tucson, Arizona-based space transportation and rocket manufacturing startup, has reached a deal valued at up to $240 million to design, build and launch a 72-satellite constellation that will carry Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) payloads for wireless network provider Ingenu.

The suborbital spaceflight, scheduled to liftoff on Oct. 12 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time from Blue Origin's Launch Site One in West Texas, will carry a crew of four, including former NASA engineer Chris Boshuizen and health care technology executive Glen de Vries.

According to TMZ, the 90-year-old "Star Trek" veteran will climb aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket for a 15-minute suborbital spaceflight scheduled for October.
