General Motors says it will no longer support the Trump administration in legal efforts to end California's right to set its own clean-air standards.

GM will recall approximately 6 million 2007-2014 model year full-size pickups and SUVs to repair or replace their Takata airbags. The automaker filed for an exemption, but was denied by NHTSA.

General Motors will spend $27 million to bring 30 electric models to markety by 2025.

General Motors increased its commitment to electric vehicles to $27 billion over the next five years and announced a new battery that is twice as powerful Thursday. 

The Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV is a hit for GM in China. The $4,400 car topped the EV sales charts during the third quarter of 2020.

The recall comes one month after the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that it is investigating the Bolt fires.

Ward said the fleet of vehicles will not only save time but they also use 100% renewable energy. The company, which has been outspoken about its sustainability efforts, said using these vehicles will help to support Walmart's goal of reaching zero emissions by 2040.

Changing demographics could bring GMs full-size American SUVs to China. GM China President Julian Blissett said it is looking at a "variety of market sales plans."
