Fanatics scores China deal, IPO may be next play

Fanatics Inc, the world’s biggest licensed sports merchandise retailer, said on Thursday it was expanding into China via a venture with private equity firm Hillhouse Capital Group, as the e-commerce platform considers a possible public listing. 

Nike, Michael Jordan's brand sign UCLA sponsorship deal

Under the six-year sponsorship agreement in principle, Nike will supply uniforms, footwear, apparel and equipment to 22 of UCLA's 25 varsity athletic teams, while the Jordan Brand will outfit the college's Bruins football team and men's and women's basketball programs with its "Jumpman" product.

Nike to cut 700 jobs at its Oregon headquarters by 2021

Approximately 700 employees at Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon will be impacted by its "permanent reduction of workforce" by Jan. 8, 2021, according to an updated WARN notice issued to the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission's Office of Workforce Investments on Monday.
