Delta CEO Ed Bastian sent a memo to employees Thursday to thank the 17,000 Delta workers who agreed to take voluntary departure packages, a significant number of which are departing this week.

In a letter to employees obtained by FOX Business, Southwest chairman and CEO Gary Kelly vowed that the airline will not furlough or layoff any of its employees on Oct. 1.

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines have ended face mask exemptions for passengers over age 2 and will no longer be making medical exceptions as the coronavirus health crisis continues.
