These jobs come with hiring bonuses — Here's how much you could get
There are bonuses of up to $60,000 for some positions
One way that companies try to entice new hires is with signing bonuses -- and depending on the role, those bonuses can be hefty.
On Monday, Glassdoor published a report that listed eight companies that are offering hiring bonuses between $1,000 and $60,000 for a variety of roles.
Those roles include veterinarians, electricians, lab technologists, software engineers and massage therapists.

One of the highest bonuses — albeit offered only temporarily — is for veterinarians at Banfield Pet Hospital.

Banfield Pet Hospital

Roles: doctors of veterinary medicine, associate veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians.
Locations: Jenkintown, Pa.; Phoenix; Minnetonka, Minn.; Winston-Salem, N.C.; Little Elm, Texas; Geneva, Ill.; Virginia Beach, Va., among others.
Bonus Details: According to Glassdoor, Banfield Pet Hospital is offering sign-on bonuses between $2,000 and $60,000, with relocation available. Bonuses of $60,000 are reportedly temporarily available to doctors of veterinary medicine.
Caterpillar
Roles: electricians and welders.
Locations: Lafayette, Ind., and Decatur, Ill.
Bonus Details: According to Glassdoor, after 60 days of production work, welders are eligible for a $2 per hour retention bonus. For electrician and machine maintenance hires at the company’s Lafayette engine plant, $5,000 in moving expenses are available if the hires had lived more than 75 miles away before being hired, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Roles: pathologist assistants and lab technologists
Locations: New York City
Bonus Details: According to Glassdoor, pathologist assistants are eligible for several sign-on bonuses, depending on their years of experience. For those with less than 3 years of experience, a $5,000 signing bonus is available and for those with more than 3 years of experience, a $10,000 signing bonus is available.
For lab technologists, a $4,000 sign-on bonus is available, Glassdoor said.

Lockheed Martin
Roles: systems administrator, software engineer, mid-level software engineer, database engineer, senior java software engineer, senior systems administrator, cyber intel analyst and other roles.
Locations: Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; Hanover, Md.; Annapolis Junction, Md.; Linthicum, Md., and other locations.
Bonus Details: Glassdoor reported that certain high-skilled roles in specific locations could receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Other positions could also receive money for relocation.

PepsiCo
Roles: lead experienced fleet technician, experienced fleet tech/diesel mechanic, driver, bilingual customer care advocate and other roles.
Locations: Pittsburgh, Albany, N.Y.; Auburn, Maine; and Burlington, Vt.
Bonus Details: According to Glassdoor, $2,000 signing bonuses are available for “select roles.” The first $1,000 will be paid after 30 days and the second $1,000 will be paid after a year, the website reported.

Bonus Details: Glassdoor reported that certain roles are eligible for sign-on bonuses of up to $40,000 for candidates who have a current and verifiable top secret/sensitive compartmented information clearance.

Bonus Details: Technical supervisors are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and other lab positions are eligible for bonuses between $1,000 and $3,000, according to Glassdoor.
