On Twitter, Musk responded to a tweet claiming that the aerospace company was selling its mini internet satellite dish at a "much lower price than what it costs to make."

Elon Musk's business partner and Neuralink co-founder, Max Hodak, told fans in a tweet that they "could probably build jurassic park if we wanted to" with "maybe 15 years of breeding and engineering to get super exotic novel species."

The seemingly unprompted comments came just days after the electric car manufacturer delivered nearly 185,000 electric vehicles in the first quarter despite a shortage of computer chips that hit the global auto industry, including Tesla.

Tesla said in a news release last week that the new Model S and X vehicles have only entered the early stages of production, with the new equipment installed and tested during the first quarter.

Tesla is assuring its customers in China that the video cameras in their cars are turned off and not recording video amid privacy concerns that have been raised.

Musk had the largest dollar gain on this year's list, according to Forbes, with a fortune of $151 billion, a $126.4 billion increase compared to $24.6 billion last year, when the Tesla and SpaceX executive ranked at No. 31.

Under the partnership, which has been in review since last year, the car manufacturers would develop a small electric SUV.

Musk announced on Twitter that he would be donating $20 million to schools in the county and another $10 million to Brownsville for a "downtown revitalization." 

SpaceX's SN11 rocket prototype crashed Tuesday while landing, causing debris to fall on the launch site in foggy conditions.

The House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee said on Monday it is investigating a SpaceX commercial space launch that regulators determined violated U.S. safety requirements and its test license.

"FAA inspector unable to reach Starbase in time for launch today," CEO Elon Musk tweeted Monday. "Postponed to no earlier than tomorrow."

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is looking to mirror Musk's Boring Company tunnel in Las Vegas for his own city.
