Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it will shift 550 jobs to its Kentucky Truck Plant to boost production of its Expedition and Lincoln Navigator to meet growing demand for its large SUVs.

Auto production is ramping up in the U.S., said Kevin Hassett.

The move is aimed at speeding up assembly lines in order to meet the demand for the Ford Expedition.

The road rivalry is revving up as electric car brand Fisker is set to take on Tesla’s Model Y.
