The Cash App has become a boon for Square Inc. during the course of the coronavirus pandemic, rallying shares 28% in the past month and 166% since the beginning of the year. 

Apple announced in a blog post Monday that app developers will now be able to appeal decisions about whether their products violate App Store policies as well as suggest changes to the platform's guidelines through a form submission on its online developer portal. 

Netflix has confirmed that popular shows and movies, such as "Stranger Things," "Bird Box," "The Two Popes" and others will be available to non-subscribers for free. 

 Apple Inc said on Friday it had terminated "Fortnite" creator Epic Games' account on its App Store amid a legal battle over the iPhone maker's in-app payment guidelines and accusations they constitute a monopoly.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg ramped up his war against Apple during a meeting with employees Thursday, saying that its App Store “blocks innovation” and allows the company to “charge monopoly rents,” according to a report in Buzzfeed.

Epic argues that exclusively using the App Store is an invitation to "collude with Apple to maintain their monopoly over in-app payments on iOS, suppressing free market competition and inflating prices."

Unity claims it is "the world's leading platform for creating and operating, interactive real-time 3D content," boasting that in 2019, it made more than half of the top games on mobile, PC, and consoles— including 53 percent of the top 1,000 games in the iOS App Store and Google Play, with 3 billion dowloads per month.  

Popular video conferencing app Zoom Communications said Monday that some users were experiencing "partial outages" for some of its services.

Apple removed Fortnite from its App Store on its iOS & iPadOS operating systems earlier this month after Epic Games “secretly” installed a “hotfix” into its app to bypass the Apple payment system.

"Upon discovering this inconsistency, we immediately retained a leading forensic analysis firm to promptly investigate the matter," Instacart said. "The results of our joint investigation confirmed that these two individuals viewed a limited set of shopper information that may have included name, email address, telephone number, driver’s license number, and a thumbnail image of the driver’s license."

Epic has filed a motion to restrain Apple from "removing, de-listing, refusing to list or otherwise making unavailable the app Fortnite, including any Fortnite update, from the App Store because it provides Fortnite users choice and lower prices on in-app purchases."

Following last year's announcement to offer Disney+ to some of its subscribers free for one year, Verizon has expanded its deal with Disney, giving the Disney bundle of Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney + to two of its popular wireless plans.
