Varney: Trump turned a Jersey shore town into a heartland of support

Trump voters showed up by the thousands to support the president amid the 'impeachment mess'

President Trump was "born to run" down the Jersey shore.

The president singlehandedly reopened the shore town of Wildwood, New Jersey in mid-winter with his 100,000 person rally, FOX Business’ Stuart Varney argued in his latest “My Take.”

As the crowd gathered into the packed arena, Apple reported “sensational” quarterly profits, according to Varney. The company’s profits were “way up,” he added, noting that great holiday sales led to dominant American technology companies.

Apple’s record earnings followed news that consumers feel good about the U.S. economy and about their own financial future, he said.

“You know the story. Plenty of jobs, rising wages, mortgage rates are low, there’s not much inflation, you can buy gas for less than $2 per gallon in 13 states, oh, and President Trump is about to sign the second big trade deal of the year, the USMCA. Everyone benefits,” Varney argued.

This, he compared with the “impeachment mess” dragging on in Washington D.C.

“It’s deliberate. The Democrats are determined to keep the smear machine going as long as possible to do maximum damage to the president,” Varney argued.

Varney continued noting that no impeachable crime has been committed by the president, but that the Democrats cannot contain the hatred the political left has for Trump. The president’s rally in New Jersey, according to Varney, is a sharp contrast to this.

“The Garden State is deep, deep blue, but the president turned a Jersey beach town into a heartland of Trump support. He held a rally and his supporters took over. About 100,000 couldn’t get into the arena, but they came anyway just to show their raucous support and there intense opposition to Democrats and impeachment,” Varney said.

It’s a successful presidency attacked by a "hate-filled left," he concluded.
