Apple has opened a new store in Beijing replacing its original Chinese location with a new shop that is twice the size.

3M says courts have issued six temporary restraining orders and four preliminary injunctions so far to stop N95 sales that it says are unlawful. The company says in some cases, it has led to criminal charges.

The Maine-based retailer believes its products are underrepresented in the marketplace and that there's an opportunity to expand while other retailers contract, said Charlie Bruder, vice president for merchandising.

Brands typically give retailers a period of time, such as 30 days, to pay for products they provide on credit. Since the pandemic, some retailers have extended payment terms in an effort to conserve cash. Some others have filed for bankruptcy, such as J.C. Penney Co. and J.Crew Group Inc., while still others continue to pay on time.

U.S. retail sales climbed a solid 7.5% in June, a sign that the economy was healing right before infections from the coronavirus spiked again and dragged down hopes for a steady recovery.

With social distancing the norm, it’s hard to imagine shoppers camping out on the sidewalk next to one another this year ahead of Nov. 27. It’s even more difficult to picture stores overflowing with excited shoppers.
