Hotel bookings surge following news of COVID-19 vaccine approval

After news of the FDA's first COVID-19 vaccine approval, the number of hotel bookings at properties across websites such as Hyatt, Marriott, Best Western and booking platforms like Kayak, Hotwire and Priceline saw the largest jump in daily bookings since March when the pandemic became widespread in the U.S., according to new data shared with FOX Business from travel technology company RateGain.

COVID-19 vaccinations in the US slated to begin Monday

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield said Sunday that he signed the CDC's official recommendation for Americans 16 and older to use the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine and applauded the vaccine as a step to "help restore some normalcy to our lives and our country."
