Tom Brady's Super Bowl commercial for Hulu pokes fun at NFL retirement rumors

Brady, 42, set to be free agent

NFL superstar Tom Brady poked fun at the rampant rumors about his football future while starring in a Super Bowl commercial for the Hulu streaming service on Sunday.

In the ad, a somber Brady walks through the tunnel into an empty stadium. The 42-year-old quarterback appears ready to announce his retirement – only to tout Hulu's content lineup instead.

"They say all good things must come to an end, that the best just know when to walk away. So to my teammates, my family and most of all, my fans, you deserve to hear this from me – Hulu doesn't just have live sports."

PATRIOTS WILLING TO PAY TOM BRADY $30M PER YEAR TO KEEP HIM

The commercial debuted just days after Brady posted a cryptic photo on Instagram that showed him walking through a tunnel at Gillette Stadium. The photo turned out to be a scene from Brady's Hulu commercial.

HOW MUCH IS TOM BRADY WORTH?

The ad was an instant hit on social media, with many users expressing relief that it was just a joke.

Brady will become a free agent for the first time in his 20-year career in March. The six-time Super Bowl champion has yet to say whether he’ll return to the Patriots or sign with another franchise.
