U.S. Monitoring Oil Prices Carefully: White House
The United States is monitoring oil prices amid unrest in the Middle East and North Africa, a White House spokesman said on Wednesday.
"We are obviously monitoring this very carefully and we are concerned about it," White House spokesman Jay Carney told a daily media briefing.
He said he would not speculate on where oil prices might go.
U.S. crude oil futures hit $100 a barrel on Wednesday.
