Kennedy: Look out Washington, here comes gridlock
Nancy Pelosi is waltzing around the Capitol with a giant, plastic smile, mostly because she's been freshly embalmed by her cosmetic dermatologist, but also the dems have a fantastic shot at winning back the House next week. And that means her boney icicle fingers will once again grasp the House gavel like Michael Moore squeezing a hotdog.
Yes, Nancy will be the frozen face that launches a thousand investigations in an attempt to smother the life out of this administration, and that will be annoying and time consuming, but it will also create unprecedented gridlock.
If Republicans couldn't get much done bowling a turkey with 2 chambers and the White House, how on earth are they going to function with foamy faced resistant zombie donkeys who'd rather thwart than hustle? They won't, and that is the best news for anyone invested in a healthy economy. Gridlock means they'll be too busy fighting to spend money. While the dum dums are busy poking around Jared Kushner's finances, that leaves very little room to pass abhorrent new entitlements like mediocrity for all.
Democrats will win the House because Republicans have been bad at messaging any economic victories and warning of the damnable, and real, threat of Socialism. It also means they were not able to articulate the seriousness of the impeachment trap Democrats are openly crafting for the president, and thus they really don't deserve to be in power given the deficit-bloating crap sandwiches they've been serving at the all-you-can-spend buffet.
Impeachment implications, subpoenas and endless hearings are not going to help the ultimate Democratic cause in 2020 because their high capacity magazine doesn't contain the silver bullet to take down the big, bad werewolf. They still don't have a clear leader or an economic message.
Annoying the electorate to death has never been a winning formula, and if it were Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi would be competing for supreme galactic leader. Instead they're just a pair of leaky gas bags.
