Job Market Not as Bad as You Think?

Just how bad is the jobs picture? Not as bad as you might think, according to John Challenger with global outplacement firm Challenger, Grey and Christmas.

Challenger joined Stuart and the company this morning to talk about where the growth is in the job market.

"We've really seen significant improvement in the last year," Challenger said, referring to the weekly jobless claims data.

When company member Jeff Ma asked Challenger where jobs will come from, he responded that health care, energy and globalization are the sectors that will drive growth.

The Labor Department will release the August Employment Report at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday, September 3.
