EXCLUSIVE - Boehner: Iranians Don’t Have Intentions to Give Up Nuclear Weapons

The 114th Congress is 100 days into its session so I sat down with House Speaker John Boehner in an exclusive interview to find out what has been accomplished so far. He named his most recent victory as upcoming legislation to change the way Medicare pays doctors. We also discussed tax reform, defense spending, ObamaCare and the 2016 race for the White House.

Boehner did criticize leading from behind when it comes to foreign policy, especially in the face of the growing threat from ISIS and Iran.  Just back from a 10 day trip to the Mideast he says our allies there are asking -- where is America? On Iran, he said he’s not optimistic about a nuclear deal. “I don’t think the Iranians have any intention of giving up their desire for a nuclear weapon.” One hundred days in, some people are questioning why a Republican-led Congress has been unable to move the needle on more legislation.  But Speaker Boehner highlighted how he has been able to work with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to get bipartisan legislation done. He described the opportunity as “catching lightning in a bottle.”             Be sure to tune in to Opening Bell tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. ET and Sunday Morning Futures Sunday on the Fox News Channel for more of my interview with Speaker Boehner and get his take on the 2016 race, including who he supports.
