Trump touts economy in Sean Hannity Super Bowl interview

'We have the best numbers we've ever had'

President Trump highlighted his administration's economic record when asked about the 2020 election during his pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.

"I really believe me and this administration, we've done more than any administration in the history of our country," Trump said. "We've rebuilt our military. We've cut taxes at the highest amount ever. ... You see what's going on, there's a revolution going on in this country, I mean a positive revolution."

Trump touted record low unemployment for African-Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans.

"We have the best numbers we've ever had. African-American — the poverty numbers are now reversed. ... So I don't know how anybody could possibly beat me," Trump said.

Trump also said sports are a "microcosm" of life ahead of the much-anticipated Super Bowl pitting the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers.

Trump's 2020 campaign on Thursday released one of two ads that will air on Super Bowl Sunday.

The 30-second, $5 million ad titled, "Stronger, Safer, More Prosperous," shows clips of the president from the 2016 election up until now and lists his accomplishments.

Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg also unveiled one of his single biggest ad purchases to date on Thursday with a 60-second spot that will air during the Super Bowl.

Trump doubled down on his "mini Mike Bloomberg" nickname for the billionaire politician in his interview with Hannity.

"Now he wants a box for the debates to stand on. Okay, it's okay, there's nothing wrong. You could be short, why should he get a box to stand on, okay? He wants a box for the debates,” Trump told Hannity.
