Rick Perry to Join 'Dancing With the Stars'
Former Texas governor and two-time Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry will join the cast of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" for the upcoming season.
Before the lineup was officially announced Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” Perry, during an interview on the FOX Business Network’s Mornings with Maria, addressed rumors that he would be joining the show’s 23rd season.
“Were I to be given that opportunity, it’s an extraordinary platform to talk about veterans and military affairs. That would be my driving reason, if I were to be asked,” he said.
As far as whether he can dance, Perry said, “not a lick,” but, “being able to dance at my daughter’s wedding for our father-daughter dance will be a really, really important thing.”
