Miss USA: Trump Media Attention ‘Disappointing’ for Pageant

In an interview on FOX Business Network’s The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan, recently-crowned Miss USA Olivia Jordan said she was slightly disappointed that Donald Trump’s presidential bid became involved with the contest.

“The pageant ultimately got caught in a political crossfire of what he’s doing to run for president,” Jordan said. “We didn’t have anything to do with that. It was disappointing for us to get caught up in it and to take away from what we’ve been doing for 64 years… to put on a great show and to celebrate all of these women that have worked so hard to be there.”

But, Jordan was optimistic on the overall outcome of the event.

“It’s a little disappointing that we got caught in it, but ultimately the show went on,” she said.
