Corzine Served With Lawsuit While Exiting Congressional Hearing
Former MF Global chief executive Jon Corzine was served with a lawsuit while leaving a hearing on Capitol Hill.
During a recess, a process server presented the former New Jersey governor with the lawsuit, which he proceeded to drop on the floor. His lawyer, who was walking behind him, retrieved the document.
The plaintiff listed on the legal filing was Sapere CTA Fund, the cover sheet of the document said.
Corzine was being questioned by members of the House Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee regarding the bankruptcy of the firm he ran, and the potentially billions of dollars of customer funds that have gone missing.
