Home Depot Investigates Potential Hacking, CVS Says Farewell to Tobacco Products

Home Depot (NYSE:HD) is investigating reports of a cyber-attack that potentially compromised its customers’ credit and debit card data. Brian Krebs, a well-known security reporter, says the breach may have happened as early as May, and with detection just happening now, Home Depot's breach may be even bigger than Target's.   CVS (NYSE:CVS) has snuffed out tobacco sales a month earlier than promised. On Wednesday, the drugstore is pulling all cigarettes, cigars and tobacco products – which have represented some $2 billion a year in sales -- from its shelves.
