Mid-Market Report: Lockheed Buying Astrotech Space Business

Astrotech (NASDAQ:ASTC) has reached a definitive agreement to sell its space operations business to Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) for $61 million.

Astrotech says the deal will allow the company to concentrate on high-growth business opportunities as well as work to develop its "first detect" mass spectrometer product line.

Renesola (NYSE:SOL) says it will ship less in the second quarter compared with the first quarter. The Chinese solar panel maker cites pricing pressure in the U.S. due to an anti-dumping investigation and the lack of approved projects in China.

Renesola also says it's moving its focus to rooftop commercial and residential projects from large-scale utility projects.

And Ruckus Wireless (NYSE:RKUS) announced a partnership with Boingo Wireless to deploy thousands of indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points across dozens of U.S. military bases.

The new Wi-Fi equipment will be used to support social networking, gaming and streaming applications.

The technology will be installed at Marine, Army and Air Force bases across the country.
