It operates through the following business segments: Northeast, South, West, Midwest, Interactive, and Other. The Northeast segment includes Ameristar East Chicago, Hollywood Casino, Hollywood Gaming, Marquee, and Plainridge Park Casino operations. The South segment manages 1st Jackpot Casino, Ameristar Vicksburg, Boomtown, Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast, Hollywood Casino Tunica, L’Auberge, and Margaritaville Resort Casino. The West segment is involved in Ameristar Black Hawk, Cactus Petes and Horseshu, M Resort Spa Casino, and Zia Park Casino operations. The Midwest segment focuses on Ameristar Council Bluffs, Argosy Casino, Hollywood Casino, Prairie State Gaming, and River City Casino operations. The Interactive segment refers to an online gaming portfolio which includes ESPN BET, Hollywood Casino, theScore Bet, and PENN Game Studios. The Other segment consists of stand-alone racing operations, namely Sanford-Orlando Kennel Club, Sam Houston, and Valley Race Park. The company was founded by Peter M. Carlino in 1982 and is headquartered in Wyomissing, PA.
