White House: No Debt Deal Expected Thursday
The White House said it does not expect a final deal on the debt ceiling will be clinched during Thursday's meeting between President Barack Obama and top lawmakers, describing those talks as part of a process.
``I don't anticipate any final decision or deal, no, to be reached tomorrow,'' White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Wednesday. ``It will require further meetings.''
