Unlike Johnson, Hillary Clinton, Named Her Favorite World Leader
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was asked who her favorite world leader is, while taking questions from the press aboard her campaign plane, at Midway Airport in Chicago.
"One of my favorites is Angela Merkel because I think she has been an extraordinary, strong leader during difficult times in Europe," Clinton told reporters.
She also praised the German Chancellor for her handling of the ongoing migrant crisis.
On Wednesday, Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson stumbled when asked the same question during an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. While Johnson himself could not name a world leader, his running mate Bill Weld, cited German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
While Johnson self-described it as another ‘Aleppo’ moment, he quipped, via a tweet, that there are no world leaders he really likes.
It's been almost 24 hours...and I still can't come up with a foreign leader I look up to.
