Tensions are on the rise in the Middle East as Saudi Arabia says it has intercepted a ballistic missile near Riyadh, according to Saudi state media.
General Jack Keane said the United States must see Iran as a top threat as they seek to dominate control in the Middle East.
“We have got to see Iran… as the number one malign actor in the Middle East,” Keane told the FOX Business’ Dagen McDowell on “Mornings with Maria.” “We have got to organize with the Sunni Arabs to push back comprehensively against Iran’s aggressive behavior.”

President Donald Trump laid out his plan for national security, on Monday, and touted America’s economy while putting “rivals” on notice. Gen. Keane added in order to suppress Iran, the United States must create a strategy with Saudi Arabia.
“We should, in Syria, with our Sunni Arab friends, we should be trying to contain Iran west of the Euphrates River Valley so they are not able to effectively put together a land bridge,” Keane said. “We’ve got to hold Iran accountable for the behavior of their proxies—that is the brilliance of their strategy.”
