This is Who Fmr. NY Gov. Pataki Will Write in on Nov. 8

Even though Trump apologized for his lewd comments about women, it’s not enough for former Governor George Pataki (R-NY) who says the Republican nominee needs to step down.

“That was one of the most insincere apologies… I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms and I’ve never heard anything like that… The sad thing is Hillary Clinton is unfit… but we have a candidate who cannot beat her and if he got out of the way, Mike Pence, I think, would beat her by double digits,” he told the FOX Business Network’s Neil Cavuto.

Pataki, who dropped his own bid for the GOP presidential nomination in December, said sticking with Trump would put the Republican Party at risk for losing majorities in the House and Senate.

“What he did last night is maybe stopped the Titanic from sinking immediately, but he’s still going to sink and I fear he’s going to take too many Republican’s with him. So I’m going to vote. I’m going to write in Mike Pence. I’m going to go out there and try to convince every other voter to make sure we vote for every Republican for the House and Senate and just pray for the best,” he said.

Donald Trump beat out 17 other GOP contenders and garnered a record number of votes during the primary, but Pataki said if Republicans could “get a do over, we’d do it in a flash.”

“Pence, I think, had he had the time to start earlier, would have won easily. I still think he can beat Hillary because a majority of the American people know that both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are unfit to be President of the United States. We need another choice,” he said.
