Yum Stresses Focus On Getting China Business On Track

Yum Brands Inc. , the operator of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, said Monday that it is focused on getting its China operations back on track and believes it is making progress. The fast-food chain operator also said its board is open to exploring various options to maximize shareholder value and welcomes input from investors. "We expect to have a strong second half of the year and deliver at least 10% EPS growth in 2015," said the company. The statement follows remarks from Keith Meister of Corvex Management who earlier said Yum must spin off its China business to overcome its current difficulties. Shares of Yum are down 0.4% to $91.55.
