Yahoo marks grand opening of New York data center; Second facility in Niagara County

Yahoo is marking the opening of its second data center in upstate New York.

Executives from the California-based technology giant will be in Lockport, in Niagara County, on Thursday to talk about and tour the new Customer Care Center of Excellence and Data Center.

Yahoo announced plans for the project in 2013. The company opened its first data center in Lockport in 2010.
