Washington Teen Dies Of Injuries After School Shooting

Gia Soriano, a 14-year-old girl wounded in a deadly school shooting in Washington state, died on Sunday night, according to a statement from Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. The hospital cited "extensive" trauma injuries from Friday's shooting in the school cafeteria at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, in Marysville, Washintong. The gunman, also a student, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, while one other student was also killed. Three students remained hospitalized on Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported. "We are devastated by this senseless tragedy. Gia is our beautiful daughter and words cannot express how much we will miss her," said the family of Soriano in a brief statement released by the hospital.
