U.S. Provides $1 Billion In Loan Guarantees To Ukraine
The United States on Monday gave the green light to a new $1 billion loan guarantee agreement for Ukraine. In a statement, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said that Ukraine continues along the path of economic reform and that the loan deal is designed to support the war-torn country. "Ukraine has taken critical reforms already, and its commitment to making a decisive break with the corruption and stagnation of the past is clear," Lew said.
