Treasury Delays 2- And 5-year Debt Auctions Due To Blizzard
U.S. Treasury Department said Monday that it would alter this week's schedule for new debt offerings as a record-setting blizzard bears down on the Northeast. A $26 billion auction of two-year notes will be held Wednesday instead of Tuesday. A $35 billion auction of five-year notes will be held Thursday instead of Wednesday. A $15 billion auction of two-year floating-rate notes has been moved to Wednesday from Tuesday, according to The Wall Street Journal. A $29 billion auction of seven-year debt will he held Thursday as originally scheduled.
