TiVo Names Chief Financial Officer As Interim CEO
TiVo Inc. said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Naveen Chopra would serve as chief executive of the DVR company on an interim basis starting at the end of January. Chopra will take over from Tom Rogers, whom TiVo previously announced will become non-executive chairman at the end of its fiscal year. "(Chopra) and I have worked incredibly closely for the last 11 years, and he deserves tremendous credit for much of the progress TiVo has made in becoming the global leader in advanced television," Rogers said in Tuesday's announcement. Chopra has been with TiVo since 2003, after stints with Hewlett Packard Inc. and Microsoft Corp. Tivo also announced that Wendy Webb, CEO of Kestrel Corporate Advisors, had been appointed to the board. TiVo shares gained 0.3% in late trading after closing with a 0.3% decline at $7.87.
