Starbucks Stops Writing 'Race Together' On Cups, But Says Effort Not Over

Employees at Starbucks Corp. will stop writing (or using stickers) 'Race Together' on beverage cups, but the effort is "far from over," Chief Executive Howard Schultz wrote in an open letter to employees Sunday. "While there has been criticism of the initiative -- and I know this hasn't been easy for any of you -- let me assure you that we didn't expect universal praise," Schultz wrote. The company has "a number of planned Race Together activities in the weeks and months to come," he wrote.
