SS&C To Buy Advent Software For $2.7 Billion

SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. agreed to acquire Advent Software Inc. for $2.7 billion in cash, the companies announced late Monday. Shares of SS&C were halted at $55.48 and Advent shares were halted at $41.39 after hours. The deal works out to $44.25 per Advent share plus the assumption of debt. SS&C expects the deal to close in the second quarter.
