Senate Dems, GOP reach agreement for spending bill vote

Senate Democrats and Republicans have reached agreement for a final vote on the $1.1 trillion spending bill Saturday.

The long-term funding bill was the main item left on Congress' year-end agenda. Once passed, the bill will head to President Barack Obama for his signature.

The $1.1 trillion spending bill provides funds for nearly the entire government through the Sept. 30 end of the current budget year.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced the agreement to move ahead.
