Pilot On Germanwings Flight Locked Out Of Cockpit Before Crash: Reports
Voice recordings from the crashed Germanwings flight indicate that one of the two pilots on board was locked out of the cockpit just before impact, media reports said. Early conversation between the two pilots didn't hint of anything wrong, but at some point one of the pilots left the cockpit, The New York Times reported, citing a senior military official close to the investigation. "The guy outside is knocking lightly on the door, and there is no answer. And then he hits the door stronger, and no answer. There is never an answer," he said. "You can hear he's trying to smash the door down." The recordings were from the first black box that was recovered shortly after the crash on Tuesday afternoon. France's Bureau of Investigations and Analyses confirmed that they were so far only able to detect cockpit sounds and human voices, the Times reported.
