Oil Jumps Nearly 6% To Highest Settlement Of The Year

Oil futures jumped nearly 6% on Wednesday to their highest settlement of the year. Prices got a boost from a higher global oil demand forecast from the International Energy Agency and a smaller-than-expected weekly rise in U.S. crude supplies May crude settled at $56.39 a barrel, up $3.10, or 5.8%, on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
