Oil Futures Drop Under $49, But Gain For The Week

Oil futures dropped back under $49 a barrel on Friday, posting a decline for the first time in six sessions. Prices had scored sharp gains over the past two sessions in particular, as turmoil in Yemen raised concerns over oil transport in the region. May crude settled at $48.87 a barrel, down $2.56, or 5%, on the New York Mercantile Exchange. For the week, prices climbed 4.9%.
