Obamas Paid Nearly $94,000 In Taxes On Under $500,000 Of Income Last Year

The White House on Friday released the tax returns of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. The Obama family paid $93,362 in taxes on adjusted gross income of $477,383, for a tax rate of 19.6%, while the Bidens paid $90,506 on $388,844, for a tax rate of 23.3%. The Obamas also reported paying $22,640 in state income tax. while the Bidens paid $13,661 in Delaware income tax and Dr. Jill Biden paid $3,777 in Virginia income tax.
