There's nothing like a bunch of snow to get skiers and ski resort operators excited.
Skiers on Monday were happy to see the white stuff after a storm dumped a half-foot across much of northern New England.
Forecasters say the snow and cold are not going away anytime soon, unlike last year when the region experienced record warmth and two years ago when there was a Christmas rainstorm.
Forecasters expect the coldest weather of the season to move into the region this weekend. They say there won't be any short-sleeve weather at Christmastime like there was last year.
