New York Commuter Train Hits Car; Six Reported Killed

A collision between a train and Jeep north of New York City late Tuesday killed the Jeep's driver and five people on the train, reports said. The accident involved the a commuter train on the Metro-North Railroad and took place in the town of Valhalla, about 20 miles north of New York, the Associated Press reported. The train caught fire following the impact, and at least 12 people were injured, various reports said.
