New Hampshire unemployment unchanged, at 4.4 percent for June

The New Hampshire Employment Security office says the state's unemployment rate for June was unchanged from April and May, staying at 4.4 percent.

In June 2013, the seasonally adjusted rate for New Hampshire was 5.2 percent.

Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 6.1 percent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from May, and a decrease of 1.4 percentage points from the June 2013 rate.

In New Hampshire, seasonally adjusted estimates for June placed the number of employed residents at 713,390, a decrease of 1,220 from the previous month and an increase of 10,280 from June 2013.

The number of unemployed residents decreased by 340 over the month to 32,450. This was 6,310 fewer unemployed than in June 2013.
