Musk: SpaceX Booster Rocket Landed 'too Hard' On Drone Barge

SpaceX's chief executive Elon Musk said on Twitter the booster rocket that was part of Tuesday's Falcon 9 liftoff landed on the drone ship Just Read the Instructions as planned, but the landing was too hard for the booster rocket to survive.SpaceX had attempted a controlled re-entry for the phase-one rocket, aiming to cut costs by reusing it. Falcon 9, carrying spacecraft Dragon, took off earlier Tuesday, a day later than planned, to to the International Space Station. Dragon, with 4,300 pounds of payload, is expected to arrive in two days and return to Earth in five weeks.
