Monthly Tally: Brent Crude Gains 18%, WTI Up 3%
Oil futures settled higher for the session on Friday as well as the month with Brent crude scoring its biggest monthly percentage gain since May of 2009. Brent crude settled at $62.58 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange, with prices up 4.2%, or $2.53, for the session. They rose 18.1% for the month. April crude tacked on $1.59, or 3.3%, to settle at $49.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange - up 3.2% for the month.
