Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon More Than Triples National Guard Presence In St. Louis Region

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon said Tuesday that the state has called in reinforcements--some 2,200 National Guardsmen--after last night's "disaster." At a press conference, Nixon said he was adding the troops after Monday night in Ferguson, Mo., saw violence, rioting and the burning of buildings in the wake of a grand jury declining to indict police officer Darren Wilson. "Violence like we saw last night cannot be repeated," Nixon said.
