Market Watch: Netflix Adds Shows and More on P.F. Chang’s Breach
Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is adding more original programming, and a massive data breach rocks P.F. Chang’s China Bistro (NASDAQ:PFCB).
Stocks rebounded Monday after last week’s steep selloff. The Dow adds 76 points but is still in the red for the year.
Standard & Poor’s says the wealth gap between the rich and the poor is slowing U.S. growth. And the best fix, S&P says, is not raising taxes but focusing on education. It predicts the U.S. economy would grow an additional half a percentage point a year over the next five years if the average American worker completed just one more year of school.
P.F. Chang’s is now saying a massive data breach may have compromised its customers’ credit and debit card information at 33 restaurants in 16 states. All incidents happened between October 2013 and June 2014. And P.F. Chang’s says all card data has been processed securely since June 11.
No meal for you! American Airlines (NYSE:AAL) next month is dropping meals for first-class passengers on some flights that are shorter than two hours and 45 minutes.
And if you like bingeing on Netflix shows, get ready to binge some more. Netflix says to expect a “massive step up” in original programming over the next two years. New names you may want to get to know: Bo Jack Horseman, Grace and Frankie and Marco Polo.
