1. Chiquita Brands (NYSE:CQB)
Chiquita Brands (NYSE:CQB) said it would merge with Fyffes in an all-stock deal that will create the world's biggest banana company. The transaction is expected to close later this year. Chiquita Brands shares are jumping 14% in early U.S. trade, while Fyffes is surging 42% in London.
2. EBay (NASDAQ:EBAY)
The battle between eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) and Carl Icahn heated up after eBay advised its shareholder to vote against the billionaire investor's plan. Meanwhile, Icahn penned a letter to shareholders saying the e-commerce site's CEO has lost them more than $4 billion.
3. Boeing (NYSE:BA)
Boeing shares are down just about 1% after Malaysia Air flight 370 -- which was flown on a 777-200 jet made by the U.S. aerospace giant -- went missing Friday.
4. Facebook (NYSE:FB)
Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) shares are rallying 1% after UBS hiked its price target on the social network to $90 from $72, according to a report by Reuters. UBS has a "buy" rating on the stock.
5. American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) | JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ:JBLU)
American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) and JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ:JBLU) halted their reciprocal point agreement and inter-line traffic pact. The shares of both airlines are falling.
