Kerry Group Acquires Three U.S. Companies For $735 Million

Irish food and pharmaceutical company Kerry Group has acquired three U.S. companies - Red Arrow Products, Island Oasis, and Biothera Inc.'s Wellmune - for $735 million, the company said in a statement. Red Arrow Products produces natural smoke and grill flavors for the food industry. Island Oasis creates cocktail mixes, coffee blends, nutritional beverages and customized beverage equipment for restaurants and the leisure and hospitality industries. And Biothera Inc.'s Wellmune is a brand of natural food, beverages and supplements to benefit the immune system. Kerry Group stock is up 18.9% for the year so far.
